Boutique Modern

- Visual Identity +
- Signage
Boutique Modern are a sustainable modular housing contractor based in Newhaven. They commissioned us to create a visual identity and a signage system to elevate the interior spaces for two of their new blocks.
Alongside clear sign posting of the flats, exits and other amenities, the signage was to be a design statement and command the space. We looked for inspiration in the history and local area of both sites to create two very different schemes.

For Palmerston House we utilised the uniformity of the inside spaces, we designed oversized numbering for each flat that would be visible from the entrance to each floor. We chose a combination of Corten Steel and a bright orange vinyl to link to the industrial heritage of the site.

For the Foundry, much like the Palmerston House project, we wanted the signage to be bold and colourful.
The choice of colour is inspired by metal patina, as the developments location was originally a metal foundry.

We designed laser cut bus stop signs for the flats so the flat numbers are visible when looking down the corridor, we used a combination of laser cut metal and vinyls throughout.
